Aging Parents – Memory

Eating less may help you remember more as the years go by. Some older people develop a problem called mild cognitive impairment or MCI. This means they’re having memory problems or difficulty thinking, but these issues aren’t serious enough to be called dementia.

A study finds that eating more may put you at risk of mild cognitive impairment. Although not everyone consuming more calories will develop Alzheimer’s disease later, their risk is higher. According to one of the researchers, this study shows that cutting calories and choosing healthy foods may be a simple way to protect your memory.
