Bread In A Can
Our Money Saving Saving Queen shares one of her new “pin-spired” favorites. This bread in a can recipe is a beautiful loaf of artisan bread made with just four ingredients … flour, water, salt and yeast. So simple and it cost just a dollar a loaf.
My friends tell me their grandmothers used to make this. So everything old is new again. Using that same bread recipe it’s then baked it right in the can. Then make some herb butter to go with it. Plus, you can include herb butter with it. To make it, just take softened butter- use half a cup and then add in garlic, parsley, basil and oregano. You can use fresh or dried herbs, but fresh is better. Mix it and then put it on wax paper- shape it like a log. The gift costs less than five dollars and so far, it’s getting rave reviews.
