DIY Fabric Softener

Making your own fabric softener is easy, green and great on the budget. Learn how with just three ingredients. This is one of our Money Saving Queen favorites to make for just a fraction of the price.

“This recipe comes from One Good Thing by Jillee. Now here are the ingredients … just three! Water, hair conditioner and white vinegar. So here’s what we do… you need a good-sized container. I already have six cups of water in here, I’m adding two cups of hair conditioner and 3 cups of white vinegar. We’re going to give that a stir. I store my fabric softener in a trusty Mason jar. I put it in fabric softener section of the washer… this works on H-E washers too… or soak it in a rag in it and toss in the dryer. And the smell… it’s wonderful! And savings.. they are pretty sweet too. I make it for just pennies.”
