Geocaching

If you are new to the world of geocaching, “welcome.” Geocaching has been around for some time, but if you’re new to it…. basically, it’s free, fun high tech scavenger hunt. Our Money Saving Queen explains how to find “hidden treasure” and get the whole family outdoors.

You download the free app, Geocaching Intro, and then follow GPS coordinates. Hidden treasure may be right in your backyard or places you visit across the country. The apps gives you an idea of the difficulty in finding the cache and you can even post once you’ve found it.

You take a treasure and leave a treasure. I use the word treasure loosely because it’’s often items like a golf ball or a box of crayons. And if you’re Œ–really’ hooked, you can create your own cache- here we have some duck taped wrapped containers that would be great.

The point is not “what” you find, but “that” you found it. What treasure would our Money Saving Queen would leave in the cache? “Hmmm’¢ŠäŒÎ_ I would leave something very valuable’¢ŠäŒÎ_ coupons of course.” Guaranteed to save your family money. Talk about a “valuable” cache.
