Healthy Choices With Coupons

If you think you can’t find coupons for healthy foods, think again! Our Money Saving Queen Sarah Roe shows you how to say goodbye to junk food and hello to healthy options… all while saving money.

Vowing to make healthier eating choices is always at the top of the resolution list. Sara de-bunks a big myth about coupons and healthy foods.

Michelle emailed me…. “Recently, I’ve been trying to encourage several new friends to start couponing. A few of them are really into very healthy eating and their response to me has been identical. Coupons are for junk food or processed food.” Sure you can find coupons for chips, cookies and processed meals “but” you can also find coupons for dairy products, produce, meat and diet foods. As you would expect, right now coupons are “everywhere” for frozen meals from Healthy Choice, Weight Watchers and Lean Cuisine. Take the manufacturer coupon and then pair it with a sale. Buy them for as little as 50 cents!

When it comes to finding coupons for produce, meat and dairy here are three things to do. One, check manufacturer’s websites. That’s often where you can find high dollar coupons. Two, use pricematching to get the lowest prices on produce. Aldi is notorious for low produce prices, so Sara buys produce at Walmart with Aldi prices! Three, Sara’s a big fan of Target because of all the produce, dairy and meat coupons. Target’s mobile coupons make it a breeze to check out and save cash.

Here you have it… proof that you can make healthy choices with coupons and save money in the process.
