Work For Hire

Sarah Roe, our Money Saving Queen has a “pin-spired” Job Board … a creative way to teach your kids about the value of a buck. Around her house, “everyone” pitches in when it comes to chores. Rather than call them “chores” though’ – she calls them “jobs.” Here’s why’ – with a job, if you do a good job you get paid. If you don’t, you “don’t” get paid. Simple enough right?

You can see here there are different jobs worth different things. For example, folding laundry and watering plants is worth a dollar. I also “pay them” in other ways. Washing the car earns somebody a movie night! Not every job around our house is a paying job… like making your bed and keeping your room straight. But that’s just my two cents! Please share how you teach your kids the value of money and I just might feature your idea on the air!

Meet the Queen: Five years ago Sarah’s son had life threatening food allergies causing her family to spiral into a financial crisis. Today, she is an award-winning blogger, radio & television celebrity, speaker and author. Learn more: moneysavingqueen.com
