Autism – ESDM Therapy
In a study of intensive early intervention, researchers worked with 48 autistic toddlers between the ages of 18 and 30-months. The children received either an approach known as Early Start Denver Model…or community intervention. The preschoolers receiving ESDM improved on standardized tests, language skills and social behavior.
The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends routine screenings for Autism Spectrum Disorders be done at 18- and 24 months of age. Learn more about ESDM at Autismspeaks.org
