Kid Sleepovers – Toddlers Sharing Parents’ Bed

Parents who share a bed with their toddler may feel a bit crowded at night, but the setup doesn’t seem to cause problems for the kids. The researchers found that moms sharing a bed with their 1-to 3-year-old children didn’t seem to have a negative effect on kids’ behaviors or cognitive skills.

It is important to note that this study looked at slightly older children. Sleeping in bed with adults may not be safe for babies and The American Academy of Pediatrics discourages parents from sleeping in a bed with their infants.
